All fine when we hear about the future of digital cinema but what remains to be seen at present is whether digital has truly surpassed reel or not. As far as projection is concerned I still think 35mm is above 2k DCI compliant projectors in some ways. Even though 2K resolution quite matches 35mm color reproduction in digital projection is not as subtle when it comes to reds or maroons. Tail lamps, traffic signals and red pieces of clothing glow unnaturally. The same goes for flashing colored lights e.g. discos and stage shows. All have a overblown hue. Hope 4k which promises a higher color gamut will resolve the issue.
